Bayou City Breastfeeding is great. They started helping me over the phone right the way when I called to inquire and schedule the appointment and any time I have a random question I can text them and they reply on the same day. The insurance covers the visit, which is a plus. I chose the home visit and for that I just have to pay the trip charge. They were a life saver and I don’t know if I would have been successful at breastfeeding if it wasn’t for their help. Nicole is amazing and helped me not only with the techniques but also with the whole concept of breastfeeding, bonding and being emotionally well. We have made so much progress thanks to Karen! I started out with low supply and a tongue tied baby who was not gaining enough weight. It has been a multi month journey of LCs, PTs, ENTs and pediatric dentists. Karen’s help was instrumental in building and establishing my supply as well as improving latch and transfer. Do not wait to address feeding issues. The in home visits have been game changing - much more effective than the hour long appointments at the hospital or pediatrician’s office. In addition to being a wealth of information and support on breastfeeding, Karen also provided physical therapy exercises for us to do between sessions to help with breastfeeding. Karen is also a wealth of information about parenting having 3 kids of her own and is very sympathetic to the realities of being a busy mom.
