When I called Suzanne the day my daughter was born because I was concerned she might have a tongue tie, Suzanne was quick to find someone in my area who could make a home visit...and she was able to come over that evening! When Suzanne found out I didn’t have insurance she offered to let me apply for their grant which greatly reduced the financial burden and allowed me to get the immediate help I needed to get us on the right track for breastfeeding. Mary was our lactation consultant and she has been a God-send. She is so experienced and knowledgeable about breastfeeding, lip and tongue ties and she is always so encouraging! She took her time with each appointment we had with her. I wanted to avoid giving my babe the bottle and she helped us navigate our breastfeeding journey in a way that helped us stay on the right track...getting my babe the nourishment she needed while keeping her at the breast as much as possible...all without introducing the bottle. Mary was always checking in on us between appointments through text and phone calls. Because of Mary’s incredible support my babe is very close to being weaned off the supplementation and completely exclusively breastfeeding!
I worked with Jen at Bayou City Breastfeeding. She is very knowledgeable and was able to help me with my baby’s latch even though he has oral ties. Being able to do weighted feeds gave me the reassurance that my baby was feeding well and gaining weight as he should. Even though this is my second breastfeeding journey she was able to teach me new things that have made things much easier for both my baby and I. I would highly recommend seeing Jen!
This company is absolutely wonderful!! I worked with 3 different IBCLCs (depending on which location was most convenient and my crazy schedule - they were extremely accommodating), and they were all phenomenal!! Brandy is experienced and helped me get through a lot of challenges during my breastfeeding journey. The owner, Suzanne, is knowledgeable and cares a great deal about each mother/baby pair that walks through that door. I cannot recommend them enough!!
Mary was an amazing IBCLC. She spent hours listening, working with us, and consulting different resources to get our 4.5lb emergency C-section baby from his feeding tube, through a tie release procedure to a happy little guy who nursed until he was almost 2. She stayed in touch with us periodically even after we stopped seeing her regularly. Just a few months ago after guiding me through some resources on breastfeeding during IVF for our next pregnancy I sent her the following: Just wanted to report in and thank you for the incredible work you did to save Gavin's breastfeeding journey. It is one of the greatest gifts I have ever received and there are no words to appropriately thank you 🙏 Merry Christmas! 🎄
The lactation consultants I worked with - Megan and a few trainees - were so helpful in giving me confidence and tools to make my breastfeeding journey successful and enjoyable. My son and I are doing so well today in part because of their support. I liked that there were options for virtual, in home and in office depending on our needs and how we were doing on any given day. The online messaging with quick responses was also super helpful. I felt like they truly cared for us and especially for my son and could share their experience as well. I highly recommend their services!! They also bill insurance which can be hard to find!
