Bayou City Breastfeeding is fabulous. They are great at scheduling quickly and efficiently. Kathy was such a blessing and joy to work with, and I really appreciated all of the follow up material she sent after our sessions. Tessa is magical and we were so impressed with the Bodywork sessions my son had with her. Kathy and Tessa were able to help us with the decision to have our son's lip and tongue tie corrected, as well as prep him beforehand and ensure we did everything we needed to after it. I'm so grateful to have found BCBF!

Brandy continues to lead our child with excellent care after successfully navigating lip and tongue tie surgery. She recommended pre and post procedure protocols and provided customized referrals for his treatment team that enabled his success. She evaluates his oral motor function at every visit. He is thriving in no small part because of her excellent attention to detail, loyalty to his care, and ongoing addition of new tools, tips, and tricks that match his developmental milestones. We cannot say enough about the standard of care she offers. It has provided a platform for health and the joy of connecting with a child who is happily able to nurse well.
Very helpful introductory meeting. I appreciated that I received an explanation for my issues and simple solutions. I felt reassured that I could continue my breastfeeding journey.

I had no real trouble breastfeeding my first child, so when my second hit 4 weeks old and I was still in pain while nursing, and he needed to feed around the clock, I knew something was wrong. I looked for a lactation consultant who took my insurance (Aetna) and found Bayou City Breastfeeding. Kingwood was a bit of a drive, but my visit with Karen was well worth it! She was so easy to talk to and she helped me help my son to latch better, and showed me some exercises I can do for him to loosen his muscles. She also looked him over and was able to recommend a great ENT for me to take him to for a possible tongue and lip tie which I have now had revised. My son is feeding so much better now! I’m no longer in pain, and can see that he’s having an easier time getting what he needs out of each feed. If you feel at all like something isn’t right with your breastfeeding experience, definitely make an appointment with Bayou City. You’ll be in a comfortable setting where all your questions can be answered and your mind can be put at ease.

She spent a lot of time with us doing evaluation and addressing all our issues! I feel much more comfortable with breastfeeding and got a lot of tips for pumping and much more! Anyone struggling with breastfeeding should book a session with her! The only regret I have is waiting 2 weeks before I reached out for help!
