If you go to this location, then you definitely need to work with RN Karen. She is simply the best! My family and I are full of appreciation, gratitude, and respect. If it was not for Nurse Karen, we would not have found out my son's tongue and cheek ties. I wish I could have met her earlier, but since we worked with her (my son was 5 months old), we learned a lot from her and our lives greatly improved because of her help and dedication. She is helpful, resourceful, passionate, kind, and nice. I cannot find words to tell you how awesome she is and Bayou City because they hire professional people. I recommend Bayou City and Karen to anyone.

Wow! If you are trying to find a place that will take the time to talk to you and help you with your breastfeeding needs, this is it. My consult was 1 hour 20 min, and our lactation specialist was helpful and had such great information and tips. She helped me latch my baby and gave me great feedback on how to do it, which is what I’m struggling with. She evaluated my baby as well and gave us exercises to do at home to help with the lip and tongue ties. She scheduled a follow up visit to see our progress in the next week. All in all, so grateful to have this resource. Highly recommend it!

And you can text them to communicate! Hello, this is so helpful for parents, instead of waiting on hold for 20 min to make an appointment.

I’ve had 2 consults now with Tessa at the Jones Rd location, and baby has made so much progress with his latching. I’m not sure where our breastfeeding journey will end up, but I do know I wouldn’t have made it this far without Tessa. I’ve never felt more heard, understood, and supported. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Bayou City Breastfeeding! We’ve been seeing Tessa and she is the absolute best! We had some latch problems with our baby from the beginning and after our first visit, Tessa gave us exercises to help and it suddenly clicked for us! Our visits are so detailed and personal, much more time than the pediatrician will spend with us! Not only did Tessa help with latch and lactation, she’s also helped us with general questions about newborn care. As first time parents, we’ve been so overwhelmed with all the information on the internet and Tessa is so patient and reassuring with all of our questions. She also has so many tips and tricks to help us care for our little girl! We are so incredibly thankful to work with her!
