Super adorable and cozy.
Response from the owner:Ensuring our families are in a safe, comfortable and supportive environment is critical to us, and we are so glad to hear that you felt that way. I’ve delivered my first baby 3 weeks earlier and she stayed in NICU for few days which makes it difficult to breastfeed her. Later I kept struggling to make her latch and when she did latch I’ve never been able to keep her latched. Also, I was having difficulties with positioning. I seek Bayou City Breastfeeding for help and the amazing LC Kyna got assigned to me. Kyna first taught me how to set and hold the baby for the breastfeeding, and she taught me some mouth and cheeks exercises to train the baby how to latch. In few seconds my baby was able to latch and she refused to let it go 😊 …. Kyna showed me how to use the breast bump correctly and how to choose the right size that will be comfortable and not painful. She also shared some useful resources that will help with the journey of breast feeding. I was very happy after our first session with Kyna. We met again for several follow up sessions and each time she taught me something new. My baby now is 3 months and she cried for the breastfeeding than the bottle feeding. Each time I breastfeed her I wish i can call Kyna to say thank you. Words are not enough Kyna ❤️
Response from the owner:Hi Haifa! Thank you for your review!!!! 😊 We are sure that it will help other new moms who are on the fence about contacting a lactation consultant. 😊 We are so happy that Kyna was the perfect IBCLC for you and that she was able to provide you the encouragement and help needed to start your breastfeeding journey. I love the care & attention we received here! I finally feel heard and that I have more than just one option to our issues. Thank you BCBF and especially thank YOU to Mary!
Response from the owner:Thank you for the kind review! We are so pleased that we were a part of your support team!
I had an amazing experience and relationship with my LC, Dana Gillman. I couldn’t recommend her enough. She helped my son and I with latch/gas issues as well as general maintenance and care for myself to prevent clogs. She was very responsive when I had questions that came up throughout the week in between our appointments. She also was very supportive and encouraging during postpartum and I cannot thank her enough for her kindness.
Response from the owner:Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience with Dana, Karen! We're thrilled to hear that Dana was able to provide such exceptional support and care for you and your son. Your kind words about her responsiveness, knowledge, and encouragement during postpartum mean the world to us. We're delighted that Dana made such a positive impact on your breastfeeding journey. If there's anything more we can do for you, please don't hesitate to reach out. 🌸😊
Truly at a loss for words to wholly describe what Alamo City Breastfeeding means for our family. I have used both Boerne and San Antonio location and my review is the same for both. Our kiddo had a harder start with breastfeeding. I was an overwhelmed first time mom who only knew that I wanted my baby to be fed the best and if possible fed breastmilk. I fought through exclusively pumping, releases, bodywork, appointments, personal discouragement, family members and friends encouraging me to give up to get to where we are today. The entire time I was cheered, empowered, never pressured, informed, and encouraged by Alamo City Breastfeeding. Our feeding journey would not be where it is today without them still nursing at 9 months. It feels like they do it all (breastfeeding, bottle feeding, connecting you to the right practitioners, advice, listening ear, troubleshooting, starting solids, sleep). And do it all well and kindly. To be surrounded by people who fight for you, your children’s, and your family’s well being (whatever your unique situation is) is priceless. I recommend them to any pregnant person I meet, any friend who has a big or small breastfeeding question. I immediately give them Alamo City Breastfeeding’s information. Seriously, reach out! They’ll be a tool on your parenthood toolbelt you never knew you needed.
Response from the owner:Hi Rachel! We are so happy that Alamo City Breastfeeding was able to provide you the encouragement, support and help needed to continue your breastfeeding journey. Just remember you did ALL the hard work to ensure that your baby thrived!!! You are the superhero and should be proud of yourself!!!! 😊 Please let us know if there is any additional help that Alamo City Breastfeeding can provide. We are here for you!!! 😊 Thank you! My IBCLC helped me and my baby persevere with breastfeeding as we waited for his frenectomy. She’s worked with us through all the difficulties and encouraged me when I’ve wanted to give up. I would not have continued breastfeeding if it weren’t for the support and care my baby and I received from Bayou City Breastfeeding.
Response from the owner:Hi Sarah, Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. We're overjoyed to hear that our Katy team members supported you and your baby through the challenges you faced during breastfeeding, especially as you awaited his frenectomy. At Bayou City Breastfeeding, our goal is to provide unwavering support and care to mothers and babies on their breastfeeding journey. Your trust in us is inspiring, and we're immensely grateful to have been a part of your breastfeeding success story. If you ever need further support or have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here for you every step of the way. Warm regards, Bayou City Breastfeeding

Erica was FANTASTIC. Like, 5 star service for sure. She was personable, knowledgeable, and just all around wonderful. Will definitely call her again when/if I need help.

The office .... well ... they’re a hot mess. Booked my appointment, removed it from the calendars, booked it again, lost it again, booked it a 3rd time and that finally stuck. Then they asked me to fill out intake paperwork twice. I paid for the home visit, and they tried to run my card a second time because they somehow couldn’t see that the charge had been processed, applied to my account, and a receipt had been auto-emailed to me? Thankfully my bank caught it as a suspicious charge and wouldn’t let them run it a second time more than a week after the first charge was applied and cleared.

Don’t let the train wreck admin situation deter you - again - the visit with Erica was amazing and so very helpful. Just watch the office carefully and make sure you communicate well.
Response from the owner:Jennifer, I am so sorry for all the confusion and difficulty with the scheduling and billing portion, and am glad that you found the visit with Erica to be helpful. I think that the admin problems occurred for a couple of reasons, and I want to explain -- but understand this is not intended to be an excuse. We have recently brought on two new admins, and they are still learning the systems. The original appointment was created on the wrong day, and once the admin realized that error, instead of moving the appointment, she created a new appointment for you on the correct date. This is why you got two sets of forms, and also why we tried to bill you twice. I have discussed this with the Admin team to try to prevent it from happening in the future. One of the things we try to do is to give opportunities to stay at home moms to work on our admin team. This is one of the core principles of our organization -- giving opportunties to moms who wouldn't otherwise be able to work. Every member of our admin team works from home and has very young children. This, unfortunately, does result sometimes in us making mistakes that probably wouldn't have happened if we outsourced our administration/billing/scheduling to a third-party company. But each member of our admin team is being given the opportunity to learn skills that they can then take into the workforce once their children are older. So sometimes, when you call us, you may hear a crying baby (or toddlers) in the background, and things are sometimes chaotic. But giving these women this opportunity that they would not otherwise have is too important to us to give up. Again, we are sorry about the confusion and errors that were made with scheduling/billing your appointment, and please know that we appreciate your feedback and will try to do better in the future. Please reach out to me directly, if you have any other concerns or would like to discuss this in more detail. Suzanne Juel, IBCLC RLC
