I found Bayou City Breastfeeding about three years ago. Suzanne helped me with my daughter to ensure my desires of breastfeeding my baby were met. She not only showed me techniques to help with her latch, she also recommended certain things I had no... idea about that would help my BF journey. I’m so thankful for her help I was able to BF my daughter for 15 months before she (daughter) decided she was ready to be done. I am now back at BCBF with my new baby who has had latching issues and again Suzanne is there to help me with all her knowledge and amazingness! I definitely recommend Bayou City BF!read more

When I called Suzanne the day my daughter was born because I was concerned she might have a tongue tie, Suzanne was quick to find someone in my area who could make a home visit...and she was able to come over that evening! When Suzanne found out I... didn’t have insurance she offered to let me apply for their grant which greatly reduced the financial burden and allowed me to get the immediate help I needed to get us on the right track for breastfeeding. Mary was our lactation consultant and she has been a God-send. She is so experienced and knowledgeable about breastfeeding, lip and tongue ties and she is always so encouraging! She took her time with each appointment we had with her. I wanted to avoid giving my babe the bottle and she helped us navigate our breastfeeding journey in a way that helped us stay on the right track...getting my babe the nourishment she needed while keeping her at the breast as much as possible...all without introducing the bottle. Mary was always checking in on us between appointments through text and phone calls. Because of Mary’s incredible support my babe is very close to being weaned off the supplementation and completely exclusively breastfeeding!read more

Bayou City Breastfeeding has saved my family twice. After two kids with significant weight loss and tongue ties, we wouldn’t be where we are if not for Suzanne and her team. Just last week after our newborn had lost a concerning amount of weight in... just a couple days after birth, Suzanne worked us in for a visit to check on him and then helped to get us in for an urgent visit with the dentist for a tongue tie release. We are so lucky to be enveloped with so much support. Bayou City treats you like family and we wouldn’t have a happy, healthy newborn without them.read more

The ladies (Karen & Suzanne) at Bayou City Breastfeeding have been a godsend. They immediately made me feel welcomed and comfortable. They’ve taught me SO much about breastfeeding that I had no idea about, despite all of my “internet research”. My... son had a tongue/lip tie revision that reattached. I’m amazed by the work they put in to work with the pediatric dentist and the family to provide the best care for the best outcome.. without them my sons tie would still be reattached & we’d be right back at square one. I also have to say, Suzanne works so hard with making sure families can afford lactation services from providing the grant program to working with insurance companies. My family cannot say thank you enough to these ladies for helping with our breastfeeding journey.read more

Little late posting my review but better late than never!I first saw Nicole on 1/1 of this year and due to previous experiences at a different business, I was skeptical but wanted to try for my newborn since I was only producing an ounce or two a... day. Nicole was absolutely AMAZING! She listened to my rambling and understood my concerns. Unlike the previous consultant, Nicole actually examined me and explained that it wasn't my fault I wasn't producing as much as I wanted. She gave me options to try to increase my supply but also set expectations that I would have to still supplement due to my condition. She helped me rid of the guilt I felt because I thought I wasn't doing enough.After a few more visits, a massive drop in supply (thanks to my body), and a good cry in Nicole's office, I decided my breastfeeding journey was over. She was completely supportive and advocated for myself and my baby. She also explained to me the benefits of still latching even though I didn't really have supply.I highly recommend Nicole and this entire company!! They will go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of, that you understand everything, and they aren't going to overwhelm you.read more
