When I called Suzanne the day my daughter was born because I was concerned she might have a tongue tie, Suzanne was quick to find someone in my area who could make a home visit...and she was able to come over that evening! When Suzanne found out I didn’t have insurance she offered to let me apply for their grant which greatly reduced the financial burden and allowed me to get the immediate help I needed to get us on the right track for breastfeeding. Mary was our lactation consultant and she has been a God-send. She is so experienced and knowledgeable about breastfeeding, lip and tongue ties and she is always so encouraging! She took her time with each appointment we had with her. I wanted to avoid giving my babe the bottle and she helped us navigate our breastfeeding journey in a way that helped us stay on the right track...getting my babe the nourishment she needed while keeping her at the breast as much as possible...all without introducing the bottle. Mary was always checking in on us between appointments through text and phone calls. Because of Mary’s incredible support my babe is very close to being weaned off the supplementation and completely exclusively breastfeeding!

Britni was AMAZING! My breasts were so swollen, engorged and tender at our first appointment but less than a week later I felt great! She helped me bring down my oversupply and engorgement and now I feel great! Can’t recommend her enough!

I can’t say enough good things about Tessa and how much she has helped this first time mom. She has calmed my anxieties and taught me SO MUCH about breastfeeding, positions, baby’s tongue movement, and body work. Her referral to our pediatric dentist and instructions after our tongue tie release has greatly healed my baby. Moreso, she’s so prompt with messages and will fit me in her schedule when I’m in a pinch. Our appointments are never rushed, and time just flies by in the most wonderful way. I truly never thought how much I’d need a lactation counselor as someone who’s been working with pregnant moms and moms with babies for years, but my baby isn’t even three months yet and we’ve visited her twice a month. She keeps the atmosphere super zen and uplifting. I’d go in ready to cry, end up laughing, and leave excited to implement the recommendations she’s made. Her depth of knowledge, expertise, and passion is evident. My infant always seems happier, physically relaxed, and her latch progresses so much after our visits with Tessa. I’m so grateful to her impact on our breastfeeding journey. God bless Tessa!

I am SO thankful to have found Bayou City Breastfeeding!

Dr. Chelsea (bodywork) is absolutely incredible and so gentle with the babies! My daughter LOVES getting adjusted by her and seems very relaxed after each adjustment (even if she came in with a fussy mood). Dr. Chelsea has been able to provide several helpful exercises to do throughout the week as well as suggestions for how to make tummy time more engaging. We are extremely grateful for Dr. Chelsea and the support she has given us! We could not recommend her bodywork services enough!

Kathy (lactation) has been an enormous blessing to us and our breastfeeding journey. She has a wealth of knowledge from her many years of experience in various capacities. She provides so many new ideas and resources to support our breastfeeding goals. It is obvious Kathy loves what she does and loves helping families thrive!

Ariel was very helpful and extremely supportive throughout the few weeks I was seeing her. She kept my own goals in mind when helping me which I found very validating and non judgmental. I highly recommend!

The ladies (Karen & Suzanne) at Bayou City Breastfeeding have been a godsend. They immediately made me feel welcomed and comfortable. They’ve taught me SO much about breastfeeding that I had no idea about, despite all of my “internet research”. My son had a tongue/lip tie revision that reattached. I’m amazed by the work they put in to work with the pediatric dentist and the family to provide the best care for the best outcome.. without them my sons tie would still be reattached & we’d be right back at square one. I also have to say, Suzanne works so hard with making sure families can afford lactation services from providing the grant program to working with insurance companies. My family cannot say thank you enough to these ladies for helping with our breastfeeding journey.

My whole experience with BABE was great. It was easy to get an appointment and get help. Jen was so knowledgeable and easy to work with. I’m recommending all my friends who breastfeeding reach out for help with BABE, especially for those early breastfeeding days.

First, Bayou City is great! I reached out via text on a Sunday and they responded and got me set up with an appointment the next day. Karen has been our saving grace. She has taken my very complicated case and gone above and beyond to help me find answers. If she didn’t know something she went to great lengths to find someone who did. Without her I wouldn’t be as far as I am now. This is my first birth, and she genuinely has helped me with being the best mama to my baby I can be. I think seeing someone like Karen should be a recommendation for any mom-not just those who need assistance in lactating.

We had such amazing support with the team at Bayou! They helped us with our two babies who had tongue ties and I learned how to do the stretches and nurse them effectively. My babies are healthy and growing so well because of their experience and expertise! Even when we moved to a different state, we still reached out to them and they gave such valuable virtual help! You guys are amazing!
