This company is absolutely wonderful!! I worked with 3 different IBCLCs (depending on which location was most convenient and my crazy schedule - they were extremely accommodating), and they were all phenomenal!! Brandy is experienced and helped me get through a lot of challenges during my breastfeeding journey. The owner, Suzanne, is knowledgeable and cares a great deal about each mother/baby pair that walks through that door. I cannot recommend them enough!!

Cannot recommend them enough! Such a welcoming and supportive space. No problem is too big or too small. They are there for you all the way from pregnancy through weaning. Love this place!

I don’t think anyone can prep you for the emotional and physical hardships of breastfeeding, especially those early months. But thank god for Bayou City Breastfeeding and for their sweet angel IBCLC Dana!! I was in a lot of pain the first month of breastfeeding. I would switch between pumping and giving my baby a bottle because I just couldn’t handle it anymore. Then I would nurse again but would just sit and cry as I would nurse him, not only because the pain but because I was so close to giving up. So I made my first appointment with them and wasn’t sure what to expect. I am so glad I did because thanks to my appointments with Dana, I’ve continued breastfeeding without pain and my baby is thriving! Dana is very thorough with her appointments and makes sure you and baby are doing as well as possible. She makes sure all your needs and questions are met. She helped me with my latch, stretches for my baby’s tongue tie and ways that I can help him with his reflux. Dana is extremely welcoming, friendly and encouraging! She is your breastfeeding cheerleader that you didn’t realize you needed! Her kind words have made me feel proud of the work I’ve done on my breastfeeding journey. Bayou City Breastfeeding’s office is also very clean, nice and cozy! You can tell they’ve put a lot of thought into making their clients feel comfortable. If you are having any problem with breastfeeding, big or small, I highly recommend making an appointment with Bayou City Breastfeeding (even better if you can request Dana!). It’s totally worth it mama!

Suzanne is an angel!! She’s very clear, thorough, and patient with each visit. This is my second milky baby & her services just get better & better each time. My husband is even happy to join me on my visits because he learns something new each time. I HIGHLY recommend Bayou City Breastfeeding and Suzanne! 💗

I say this with absolute certainty: our breastfeeding journey would not have been successful without Ariel. The cards were stacked against us from day one — latching issues, lip tie, tongue tie, inverted nipples, and an extremely low milk supply. Honestly, it felt like everything that could go wrong did. There was no logical reason we should’ve made it to where we are today… but we did. And it’s entirely because Ariel guided us through each challenge — one at a time, with so much knowledge, compassion, and the kind of calm confidence that made me believe we could do this.

First, we tackled milk supply while navigating some tricky anatomy issues between me and my baby. Ariel gave me clear, step-by-step guidance that helped me build supply and get my baby back to birthweight. And wow — we crushed it. I went from being a significant under-supplier to a slight over-supplier. And seemingly overnight, my baby caught up and began thriving.

Then came the tongue and lip ties. Right after getting them revised, my baby latched without a shield, without leaking, and — miracle of miracles — without pain. Thriving didn’t even begin to describe it.

And just when I thought we were out of the woods, my supply suddenly dropped out of nowhere. But again, Ariel had my back. With her concise instructions (plus a few optional hacks), I was able to regain every ounce of lost supply within a couple of weeks.

Today, we’re nearly 8 months into our journey. My baby is happy, deeply connected to me, and rocking the 98th percentile. Big. Beautiful. Thriving.

Saying Ariel gave us a priceless gift feels like an understatement. Her support didn’t just help me breastfeed — it gave me confidence, reassurance, and resilience I didn’t know I had. I am almost 5 months PP, and I would not still be breastfeeding if not for Bayou City Breastfeeding and my lactation consultant, Tiphany. I highly recommend this practice. Breastfeeding may be natural, but it does not come easy. Tiphany helped me ensure my baby got a good latch from the very beginning which helped ease the pain that necessarily comes with learning to breastfeed. Even after we had a good latch established, she has helped with other issues that have arisen, which has helped me continue breastfeeding when I may otherwise have stopped. She has also been a really helpful source for selecting bottles, pacifiers, and toys for good oral motor development that do not interfere with my baby’s breastfeeding skills. I feel confident that I can breastfeed beyond my original goal of 6 months because of the skills I’ve learned. Highly highly recommend this practice for anyone who wants to breastfeed.

My breastfeeding journey would have been over a hundred times by now if it weren’t for Suzanne and Bayou city breastfeeding. The combination of science backed facts and emotional encouragement has given me the ability to make many educated decisions for me and my baby girl. I am so so so grateful this service exists and hope it’ll be more accessible in every branch of pre and post natal healthcare soon.
