I cannot say enough good things about Brandy Lightfoot at Bayou City Breastfeeding. After a very disheartening experience with my first daughter’s tongue tie and my low supply, I saw Brandy during my second pregnancy and after the birth. It’s been a tough journey, but my supply is up to 30+ oz (twice as much as the first time despite another tongue tie!) and we haven’t had to feed formula this time. Brandy’s knowledge and guidance is absolutely impeccable. Seeing four and even six ounces in a bottle from one pumping after enduring literal blood, sweat, and tears to pump less than two past—well, if you’ve been there, you know. I highly recommend that you see Brandy as soon as possible if you are struggling with breastfeeding or low supply.

I had such a wonderful experience at BCB! My son struggled to breastfeed after birth, but Tiphany was a lifesaver! She got us off to a great start and even helped us incorporate bottles to decrease the chance he would reject a bottle when I had to return to work.

Now my son is 6 months old, thriving and can switch between bottles and breastfeeding.

I cannot recommend Melissa enough! I came to her completely stressed out — I was exclusively breastfeeding and heading back to work soon, but my baby was still flat-out refusing every bottle we tried. We had already tried everything we could think of, every tip on the internet, every bottle on the shelf… nothing worked.

But Melissa worked absolute magic. She came in with such calm confidence and assessed what was going on. Within such a short time, she got my baby to actually take a bottle — something that felt impossible before she arrived.

Suzanne is amazing. I always thought breastfeeding would be so natural and easy but that just wasn’t the case for me. I struggled with my first two kiddos and decided to reach out with my third baby and am so happy I did. Suzanne provided us so much helpful information and even after our appointment she was available to us to answer some questions and I greatly appreciate that. I’m so grateful for Bayou City Breastfeeding and the many options they allow for visits! This was our first child, and I wanted to feel best positioned to support a breastfeeding journey. I had a prenatal appointment, which helped me feel more calm for the first days postpartum. My IBCLC followed up in the weeks before my due date to make sure any lingering questions or concerns were addressed, and they were readily available for a home visit a few days after we were discharged home. They’ve always been good about making sure they stay within what’s covered by my insurance, which is always greatly appreciated. So grateful to have this group as a resource, and would highly recommend!

Kyna is amazing and such a great support person to add to your team in your postpartum season when trying to ensure a strong nursing experience with your new little one. She's a great listener, very well educated, and so supportive to any new or even experienced mom.
