I am almost 5 months PP, and I would not still be breastfeeding if not for Bayou City Breastfeeding and my lactation consultant, Tiphany. I highly recommend this practice. Breastfeeding may be natural, but it does not come easy. Tiphany helped me ensure my baby got a good latch from the very beginning which helped ease the pain that necessarily comes with learning to breastfeed. Even after we had a good latch established, she has helped with other issues that have arisen, which has helped me continue breastfeeding when I may otherwise have stopped. She has also been a really helpful source for selecting bottles, pacifiers, and toys for good oral motor development that do not interfere with my baby’s breastfeeding skills. I feel confident that I can breastfeed beyond my original goal of 6 months because of the skills I’ve learned. Highly highly recommend this practice for anyone who wants to breastfeed.
Dana has been one of my biggest supporters and encouragers postpartum. She helped me through difficulty pumping, identifying my babies food allergies and helping me adjust his diet accordingly, and most importantly she was always there to listen and give advice. I recommend Dana to everyone I know who has had a baby recently.
I’ve told all of my new mama friends to visit Bayou City Breastfeeding. The consultants are amazing & helped me SO much as a new mom! I was able to meet my breastfeeding goal with their help. They answered all of my questions and always made me feel supported as I figured out my rhythm with my new baby. So grateful!
I have had a great experience with Bayou City Breastfeeding. They really made scheduling the appointment convenient and offered me a triage visit to provide guidance as I wanted for the appointment. When I met with my consultant Katelyn she was very supportive and understanding. I appreciated that she focused on my mental health just as much as my baby’s welllbeing. I now feel more confident breastfeeding my baby when previously I was almost ready to quit.
I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Bayou City Breastfeeding and our amazing lactation consultant, Jenifer. We worked with her for about 8 weeks—before, during, and after my daughter’s oral tie release—and her support made all the difference in our breastfeeding journey. Jenifer was incredibly informative and always took the time to explain everything thoroughly. She provided excellent referrals for all the specialists we needed and made sure we were well taken care of every step of the way. Her education-based approach helped me feel empowered and confident while facing unexpected challenges. Thanks to her guidance and encouragement, we were able to overcome a tough bump in the road and continue breastfeeding successfully. I highly recommend Jenifer and Bayou City Breastfeeding to any parent needing lactation support—you’ll be in the best hands!
