Melissa was a godsend. My baby was born a full month early last September. I started seeing Melissa at the end of October after not having any success getting my baby to latch. She worked with not only helping my baby with latching but also with effectively pumping. When I was thinking about giving up on nursing, she let me know she supported me either way. I ultimately kept trying and with her help, I have been successfully nursing since the end of January. I will definitely be going back when I have my next baby.

As a first time parents my partner and I were struggling with breastfeeding. Bayou city was recommended by our midwife and they have done an amazing job helping us adjust. They answer all questions and provide excellent education on how to properly breastfeed, how to utilize the pump effectively, and how much to feed etc. They help you come up with a feeding plan every time we have met. I would definitely recommend them.

Wow, I can’t thank Bayou city enough for everything they have done for us. it was an amazing feeling finally being able to breast feed my baby during the first visit and learning tips to help me breast feed her at home, not only that but I have learned so much about caring for our baby and helping her after a difficult labor. They gave us exercises to help with releasing tension and improving coordination. Idk where else they would do all this for us! I will definitely keep coming back! The process of getting help was fantastic! I really liked how I got a virtual consultation before my in-person one to give me more immediate help. Katelyn was a fantastic lactation consultant! She helped me find the right pump and gave me some confidence to continue my breastfeeding journey. I will definitely be coming to this team again and recommending them to anyone that I can.

I cannot speak enough praise for Bayou City, specifically Claire J and Brandy (who we met a few times!). Claire is my go to gal for all things breastfeeding for mom and baby. I’m a nicu nurse and have completed coursework myself to become a CLC, and I know MANY LCs, but none compare to Claire. She is so dedicated and is a vast wealth of knowledge. We live in Dallas and were connected to Claire through a mutual friend after a complicated tie release when my daughter was almost completely aversive to the breast and would not take a bottle. I was very close to requesting a feeding tube from my pediatrician. Claire met with me virtually multiple times, even on the day after Christmas, and she was able to help my daughter be receptive to feeding consistently in a matter of 48 hours. In the months to come, we visited Claire at bayou city for week long intensives, where she worked us in to her schedule around our other appointments in Katy and even brought in other LCs like Brandy to consult on post release healing. She is skilled at navigating ties (pre and post release) and breastfeeding, supply issues, maternal health complications, and the emotional dynamics of everything. She has a wealth of resources at her fingertips and knows how to use them. Kind and gentle, realistic, and affirming of maternal dyad goals, Claire is the person y’all need for success in your breastfeeding journey.

I can't recommend Bayou Breastfeeding San Antonio enough. Meghan and her team were really caring, they guided me and my baby through a tongue-lip tie, post release, with body work and lots of their support we could meet our breastfeeding goals.

Bayou City Breastfeeding, Mary in particular, have been incredible. I called during a time of desperation, with a week old baby and no clue how hard breastfeeding was going to be. Suzanne answered my call on a Friday, listened to me and gave me tips on the phone and set me up with an appointment with Mary the next day. Since then, our breastfeeding journey has made a 180. Mary not only is incredibly compassionate and kind, she is extremely knowledgeable. She made us feel comfortable, informed and empowered. She has become such an integral part of our breastfeeding journey, and I credit so much our success (and sanity) to her. She started as a lactation consultant, but now is a dear friend. They say it takes a village, and I am so glad that Bayou City Breastfeeding is part of ours.
