We are grateful that Suzanne was able to make a home visit to evaluate my son's lip/tongue tie in the middle of a pandemic. She came highly recommended by our baby doula and our son's dentist's office. First of all, Suzanne understood our worries about COVID-19 and did everything she could to put our minds at ease and to keep us and our baby safe by being transparent about their cleaning protocols and by following very strict home visit protocols (reporting temperatures, masks on, gloves on, social distancing, hand washing, and diligently disinfecting equipments, etc). I would not have put my trust on anyone else to come in to our home at this time. During the visit, she was very thorough in taking my son's history, from birth up until now, and doing a complete physical evaluation from head to toe. Given her background and experience, she was able to identify additional issues quickly and make recommendations in order to avoid invasive procedures in the future. When the issue was not within her scope of practice, she immediately identified pertinent help for us to mitigate the issue. She followed up with us via email and text to make sure our questions were answered. She was extremely efficient, straightforward, and thoughtful, which is exactly the qualities we looked for in healthcare provider. We very much have enjoyed our visit with Suzanne and so did my 13-week old son!

I have had a great experience with Bayou City Breastfeeding. They really made scheduling the appointment convenient and offered me a triage visit to provide guidance as I wanted for the appointment. When I met with my consultant Katelyn she was very supportive and understanding. I appreciated that she focused on my mental health just as much as my baby’s welllbeing. I now feel more confident breastfeeding my baby when previously I was almost ready to quit.

Mary was an amazing IBCLC. She spent hours listening, working with us, and consulting different resources to get our 4.5lb emergency C-section baby from his feeding tube, through a tie release procedure to a happy little guy who nursed until he was almost 2. She stayed in touch with us periodically even after we stopped seeing her regularly. Just a few months ago after guiding me through some resources on breastfeeding during IVF for our next pregnancy I sent her the following: Just wanted to report in and thank you for the incredible work you did to save Gavin's breastfeeding journey. Brandy Lightfoot and Amanda Benetz are angels for breastfeeding support! I was so lost as a first time mom because my gut was telling me my baby’s symptoms with feeds was not normal, but I couldn’t get answers elsewhere because baby’s growth was on track. From my first appointment, I knew I was in the right place and left with so much hope that things could improve. They have been by my side guiding and encouraging me through this journey and continue to go above and beyond in sharing knowledge, troubleshooting issues, and being the kindest souls to lean on each week. I only wish I had started seeing them as soon as baby was born. Can’t recommend them enough and will be forever thankful for the support.

Wow! If you are trying to find a place that will take the time to talk to you and help you with your breastfeeding needs, this is it. My consult was 1 hour 20 min, and our lactation specialist was helpful and had such great information and tips. She helped me latch my baby and gave me great feedback on how to do it, which is what I’m struggling with. She evaluated my baby as well and gave us exercises to do at home to help with the lip and tongue ties. She scheduled a follow up visit to see our progress in the next week. All in all, so grateful to have this resource. Highly recommend it!

And you can text them to communicate! Hello, this is so helpful for parents, instead of waiting on hold for 20 min to make an appointment.
