We’ve been working with Megan to help our little guy (and me) have a better nursing experience. She has been nothing short of wonderful! Megan is very patient, knowledgeable, and compassionate. She has expertly answered all of our questions, supported us as issues arise, and been instrumental in guiding us through his tongue tie journey. We’re really grateful to have the opportunity to work with her and couldn’t recommend strongly enough. If you’re on the fence about working with a consultant—do it!

Kyna is amazing and such a great support person to add to your team in your postpartum season when trying to ensure a strong nursing experience with your new little one. She's a great listener, very well educated, and so supportive to any new or even experienced mom. I wish I had her support for my first two children but so grateful to have her with our recent little one. She's helped me nurse longer than I did with my other two. Highly recommend.
Response from the owner:Hi Ramos Family,
Thank you so much for your kind words and glowing recommendation. We’re thrilled to hear that Kyna was the perfect IBCLC for your family. It means the world to us that she was able to provide both the evidence-based expertise and the compassionate support you needed during your breastfeeding journey with your newest little one.

We’re truly honored that you chose Bayou City Breastfeeding to be part of this special season in your life. Supporting families like yours is why we do what we do.

All the best,

Melissa Carrera was a wonderful support system during my breastfeeding journey. My initial goal was 100% breastfeeding; however, my baby had lost over 10% of his weight by his first pediatrician appointment so we immediately started supplementing with formula and pumped milk. I was initially sad and felt guilty that breastfeeding was not working but Melissa reassured me that breastfeeding did not have to be an all or nothing process. I faced several setbacks such as thrush, mastitis, several clogged ducts and Melissa provided me with the tools and emotional support to get through all of those issues when I felt like wanting to quit several times. She answered my messages at odd hours in the night and on weekends. Her presence is extremely calming, nurturing, and supportive. My baby is now 4 months old and I am on a sustainable pumping schedule with the occasional formula supplementation and I could not have done it without Melissa’s support!
Response from the owner:Hi Alexandra!
Thank you so much for sharing your personal story. We are sure that it will help other new moms who are facing similar issues. Everyone has a different breastfeeding journeys and sometimes those journeys include the use of formula. And it’s OK!!!
We are thrilled to hear that Melissa was able to guide you through your challenges and that you were able to continue on your journey.

We took the childbirth prep class last week and were so glad we did! As first time parents, we have definitely been overwhelmed with all the information floating around out there. This class gave us a good high level overview of what to expect leading up to labor, during labor and those first few weeks after birth. Jen was so great at breaking things down for us and answering any specific questions we had! Would highly recommend!
Response from the owner:Hi Kayla,

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that our childbirth prep class provided you with the clarity and confidence you needed as first-time parents. It's great to know that Jen was able to break things down effectively and address all your questions. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we're so glad we could be a part of your journey into parenthood. Wishing you all the best in the exciting weeks ahead! 🌟👶💖

I cannot say enough great things about Bayou City Breastfeeding Lactation!!
If you’re on the fence if you can breastfeed, I would absolutely make an appointment here first. It may seem overwhelming but having someone guide you and give you advice along the way will be so helpful.

Katelyn helped me through SO much! I learned how to nurse my baby and pump better and more efficiently. I gained so much confidence in my abilities to feed by baby thanks to her guidance. Especially during the early postpartum days.

My daughter also has reflux and Katelyn helped me work on things to improve this and help keep my baby comfortable as well.

I’m now off of maternity leave and had to begin traveling for work..Katelyn helped me with so many things to prepare for being away from my baby so I could have a supply at home. She also helped me work out options to pump on the go conveniently and with ease. It was a breeze when I traveled for work thanks to her help!

I owe so much of my successful breastfeeding journey to Katelyn. I am so grateful that my baby is 6mths old and we are still breastfeeding, even as a working mom!

THANK YOU KATELYN!! I couldn’t have gotten through this without you.
Response from the owner:
Hi Kimberly,

Your words are too kind!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us and for your encouragement to other working mothers. We are thrilled to hear how much Katelyn and Bayou City Breastfeeding were able to help you and your family.

Being a working mom with a baby that is still breastfeeding can be challenging. Adding travel to your return-to-work routine while also breastfeeding, just proves your commitment to your baby’s health. We are so happy that Katelyn was the perfect IBCLC for you and that she was able to provide you the tools and guidance necessary to stay on your breastfeeding journey.

You should be very proud of breastfeeding past the 6-month point!!! That’s quite a feat for a working mom!!! 😊

Without the guidance of Suzanne and her expertise, I dont think breastfeeding would have lasted long for us at all. She always knows exactly what is needed to get us headed on the best track for success. All the other lactation consultants we have seen here have been pretty great also as well as the chiropractor Dr. Chelsea! I highly recommend taking advantage of their services if you are expecting or have a little one!
Response from the owner:Thank you so much for your kind words, Christine! We're thrilled to hear that Suzanne and our team could provide the support you needed on your breastfeeding journey. It's always our goal to set families up for success. Your recommendation means the world to us! 💛
We are so happy to have you in the Bayou City Breastfeeding family!

Katelyn was truly amazing, sweet, informative, and gentle in every way. She gave me hope in breast-feeding; honestly, I was going to actually give up. This was my last option, and she gave me so many tips and gave me things to work on with my daughter; she truly made me feel likeI could continue my breast-feeding journey 10 out of 10 would recommend
Response from the owner:Thank you so much for the kind review! We are so happy to have been able to help!
I cannot recommend Melissa enough! I came to her completely stressed out — I was exclusively breastfeeding and heading back to work soon, but my baby was still flat-out refusing every bottle we tried. We had already tried everything we could think of, every tip on the internet, every bottle on the shelf… nothing worked.

But Melissa worked absolute magic. She came in with such calm confidence and assessed what was going on. Within such a short time, she got my baby to actually take a bottle — something that felt impossible before she arrived.

If you’re dealing with bottle refusal, Melissa is the person you want in your corner. Truly a lifesaver!
Response from the owner:Diane,
Your words absolutely made our day! 💕 Bottle refusal can feel overwhelming, and we know how much stress it brings when you’re preparing to head back to work. Reading how Melissa was able to bring calm, confidence, and a little bit of “magic” into your world is exactly why we’re so passionate about what we do.

Melissa has a gift for meeting families right where they are and helping babies make those big breakthroughs — and your story is such a beautiful reminder of that. Thank you for trusting us during such an important moment in your journey. We’re cheering you and your little one on every step of the way! 🌟

With love and latches,

I’m so grateful to have the support I didn’t even know exists for my baby. Thanks to Tessa and Suzanne (in Kingwood location) I feel I am helping my baby be healthier and happier. From their welcoming spirit to inducing lactation support to assessing my baby’s oral function/development and more to great referrals and support, this momma has felt empowered. God bless this team!
Response from the owner:Thank you for the review! So glad to be a part of your journey, and it is encouraging to get to work with such a dedicated mother!
