I cannot say enough good things about Brandy Lightfoot at Bayou City Breastfeeding. After a very disheartening experience with my first daughter’s tongue tie and my low supply, I saw Brandy during my second pregnancy and after the birth. It’s been a tough journey, but my supply is up to 30+ oz (twice as much as the first time despite another tongue tie!) and we haven’t had to feed formula this time. Brandy’s knowledge and guidance is absolutely impeccable. Seeing four and even six ounces in a bottle from one pumping after enduring literal blood, sweat, and tears to pump less than two past—well, if you’ve been there, you know. I highly recommend that you see Brandy as soon as possible if you are struggling with breastfeeding or low supply.
Response from the owner:Jennifer,
Thank you so much for your heartfelt and powerful review! 🌟 We are beyond thrilled to hear about your incredible progress and the success you've had this time around. Your journey is a true testament to your strength, perseverance, and the amazing support Brandy provides.

Brandy is deeply passionate about helping families thrive, and your words beautifully capture the impact of her dedication and expertise. From navigating tongue ties to doubling your supply and avoiding formula—what an inspiring transformation! Seeing those full bottles must feel like such a victory, and we’re so honored to have been part of that journey with you.

Thank you for sharing your story and encouraging others to seek support early. Your experience will no doubt give hope to many others walking a similar path. 💕 We’re cheering you on every step of the way!
Truly at a loss for words to wholly describe what Alamo City Breastfeeding means for our family. I have used both Boerne and San Antonio location and my review is the same for both. Our kiddo had a harder start with breastfeeding. I was an overwhelmed first time mom who only knew that I wanted my baby to be fed the best and if possible fed breastmilk. I fought through exclusively pumping, releases, bodywork, appointments, personal discouragement, family members and friends encouraging me to give up to get to where we are today. The entire time I was cheered, empowered, never pressured, informed, and encouraged by Alamo City Breastfeeding. Our feeding journey would not be where it is today without them still nursing at 9 months. It feels like they do it all (breastfeeding, bottle feeding, connecting you to the right practitioners, advice, listening ear, troubleshooting, starting solids, sleep). And do it all well and kindly. To be surrounded by people who fight for you, your children’s, and your family’s well being (whatever your unique situation is) is priceless. I recommend them to any pregnant person I meet, any friend who has a big or small breastfeeding question. I immediately give them Alamo City Breastfeeding’s information. Seriously, reach out! They’ll be a tool on your parenthood toolbelt you never knew you needed.

Katelyn is the absolute best! Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, but she’s also a caring and empathetic person. She truly cares about her patients and she’s a joy to be around. I genuinely looked forward to our sessions!

She helped us so much during our pre-release and post-release journey. I can’t thank her enough for her thoughtful advice and support over these past few months. I’m grateful to have had her as part of our support team and recommend her to anyone who needs support while breastfeeding. She’ll listen, help, and cheer you on every step of the way!

We also had a few virtual consults with Lisa and I highly recommend her too! Her knowledge and advice were a huge help with navigating my son’s sleep. With so much conflicting information online, it was nice to have Lisa and Katelyn as points of reference who could use their knowledge and experience to put us on the right path and help us find what works best for us.

Honestly, you just can’t go wrong with Bayou City Breastfeeding!

Great service all around.
The only provider (in my experience) that you can actually contact from your home at almost anytime .
Response from the owner:Thank you for the kind review! We are so pleased that we were a part of your support team!
Kristin was fantastic. She came out to my home, she was totally a calm presence and provided an excellent assessment of my son’s latch, oral anatomy and neck muscles. She gave me exercises to do with Max to work on relaxing his mouth/lips for a more open gape to improve his latch. She gave me new positions to try for a deeper latch and more comfort which drastically reduced if not eliminated my nipple pain. She did weighted feeds so we knew how much Max consumed at each breast. This gave me a lot of confidence. We even talked about pumping and flange sizing and bottle feeding when I return to work. I am looking forward to our follow up appointment in two weeks.
Response from the owner:Thank you for the kind review! We are so pleased that we were a part of your support team!
Melissa was incredible! She didn’t rush the appointment, answered all my questions, shared so much knowledge, information, and tools to implement.
Response from the owner:Thank you so much for your kind words, Hailee! We're thrilled to hear that your time with Melissa was so positive and empowering. Her thoughtful approach and deep knowledge are just a few of the reasons families feel supported and confident after working with her.

We're grateful you felt heard and equipped with tools to move forward—it's exactly the kind of care we strive to provide at Alamo City Breastfeeding. Wishing you continued success on your breastfeeding journey!

I am so thankful for Donique. When we came to her, we were diagnosed with failure to thrive and so frustrated. We almost gave up our breastfeeding journey. Donique helped us find and treat a tongue and lip tie and nurse through all the obstacles. She gave me so much hope and reassurance. I am incredibly happy we had her to help is.
