Tiphany was the absolute best! She was very knowledgeable and gave great insight/tips. She was very patient, kind, caring and really listened to what you had to say and what your concerns were. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Bayou City Breastfeeding! We’ve been seeing Tessa and she is the absolute best! We had some latch problems with our baby from the beginning and after our first visit, Tessa gave us exercises to help and it suddenly clicked for us! Our visits are so detailed and personal, much more time than the pediatrician will spend with us! Not only did Tessa help with latch and lactation, she’s also helped us with general questions about newborn care. As first time parents, we’ve been so overwhelmed with all the information on the internet and Tessa is so patient and reassuring with all of our questions. She also has so many tips and tricks to help us care for our little girl! We are so incredibly thankful to work with her!

What an amazing experience! Kristen was my consultant and provided the knowledge and support for me as a first time mom who struggled with latching. She helped me build a plan to exclusively pump and eventually my sweet baby girl learned to nurse as well. We also worked with Dr. Lyndsey having some body work done to help my baby with discomfort she was having. Over all I was so happy I chose Bayou City breastfeeding and will recommend to any family or friends looking to start a family and wanting to breastfeed.

My 4 month old and I are extremely grateful for all the information and training we received from a home visit with Tiphany. Thanks to her, we are now on the right path to addressing some serious lip, tongue and buccal ties! In turn my babe will drastically reduce her risks of oral malformations as she develops during her childhood years. I was originally resistant to schedule time with an external lactation consultant because I thought I had a pretty good grasp with breastfeeding but after a tough day I ended up making the call and I’m very glad I did. I learned so much more from them than I expected to and feel so much more prepared and knowledgeable about how to feed my baby. We covered breastfeeding latching but also lots of info about feeding and weight in general. They also taught me a lot about pumping and helped me discover my babies tongue tie and all the options about how to deal with it. Mandy was very informative and easy to work with and I am very appreciative for what we learned.

I cannot recommend Melissa enough! I came to her completely stressed out — I was exclusively breastfeeding and heading back to work soon, but my baby was still flat-out refusing every bottle we tried. We had already tried everything we could think of, every tip on the internet, every bottle on the shelf… nothing worked.

But Melissa worked absolute magic. She came in with such calm confidence and assessed what was going on. Within such a short time, she got my baby to actually take a bottle — something that felt impossible before she arrived.

If you’re dealing with bottle refusal, Melissa is the person you want in your corner. Truly a lifesaver!
