Jessica DeAses has been my IBCLC and she’s absolutely AMAZING! Definitely a blessing to me and my family. She’s so sweet, understanding, never makes you feel rushed, and completely relatable. I don’t feel like she’s just a consultant but a friend because she’s so easy to talk to. The office is adorable as well, so cozy! I will definitely be meeting with her for any needs I may have!

Had a home visit during COVID...the LC that came was wearing a mask and was disinfecting everything which was a bonus! She corrected my baby’s latch in the first try and it was a game changer! I didn’t realize I wasn’t doing it right! She gave me some exercises to help with my baby’s minor tongue tie which I appreciated vs going straight to the operation route. We are 7 weeks now and things are great! Baby’s latch is strong and she is gaining weight. I was hating breast feeding before...now I’m loving it!

I had such a wonderful experience at BCB! My son struggled to breastfeed after birth, but Tiphany was a lifesaver! She got us off to a great start and even helped us incorporate bottles to decrease the chance he would reject a bottle when I had to return to work.

Now my son is 6 months old, thriving and can switch between bottles and breastfeeding.

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish with Jennifer. She helped us with preoperative preparation for our baby's tongue tie release, in addition to guidance through lactation issues and postoperative wound checks with ongoing guidance. If only insurance companies truly understood the invaluable things that can be achieved through lactation consultants! Thank you for everything and helping our baby.

I cannot speak enough praise for Bayou City, specifically Claire J and Brandy (who we met a few times!). Claire is my go to gal for all things breastfeeding for mom and baby. I’m a nicu nurse and have completed coursework myself to become a CLC, and I know MANY LCs, but none compare to Claire. She is so dedicated and is a vast wealth of knowledge. We live in Dallas and were connected to Claire through a mutual friend after a complicated tie release when my daughter was almost completely aversive to the breast and would not take a bottle. I was very close to requesting a feeding tube from my pediatrician. Claire met with me virtually multiple times, even on the day after Christmas, and she was able to help my daughter be receptive to feeding consistently in a matter of 48 hours. In the months to come, we visited Claire at bayou city for week long intensives, where she worked us in to her schedule around our other appointments in Katy and even brought in other LCs like Brandy to consult on post release healing. She is skilled at navigating ties (pre and post release) and breastfeeding, supply issues, maternal health complications, and the emotional dynamics of everything. She has a wealth of resources at her fingertips and knows how to use them. Kind and gentle, realistic, and affirming of maternal dyad goals, Claire is the person y’all need for success in your breastfeeding journey.

I came here to try to induce lactation after we adopted our son. Mandy helped me get a supply going, and also answered my myriad questions about caring for our first baby. We also did bodywork here to address his tension and help with painful latching. Highly recommend coming here for any breastfeeding needs!

I have used Jessica from Bayou City Breastfeeding now for both of my children. She was instrumental in making sure that we were successful in breastfeeding, allowing me to get off to a good start with my second and to nurse for close to two years with my first. She is responsive and went above and beyond to be available for appointments and questions. I would recommend Bayou City Breastfeeding to anyone looking for lactation support!

I had an amazing experience and relationship with my LC, Dana Gillman. I couldn’t recommend her enough. She helped my son and I with latch/gas issues as well as general maintenance and care for myself to prevent clogs. She was very responsive when I had questions that came up throughout the week in between our appointments. She also was very supportive and encouraging during postpartum and I cannot thank her enough for her kindness.

They are wonderful. I would definitely recommend to help with breastfeeding questions and support.

Working with Suzanne has been a great experience. She is very knowledgeable, gives great solutions to problems and always answers questions even outside of appointments. I had a difficult start to my nursing journey but she helped me improve and solidify my nursing relationship with my little one and I’m very thankful for all of her help!
