Katelyn has been working with me and my daughter for the last several months as we navigate newborn / infant feeding related issues. She made me feel completely comfortable in the sessions, putting me at ease. She is easy to talk with, and I have always felt like I could openly express my concerns and worries without judgement.  She has a great depth of knowledge and wisdom, which she shares in practical ways. She is also kind, caring, compassionate, encouraging, and personable.  She has been such a blessing for us through this time in our lives. I highly recommend Katelyn at Bayou City Breastfeeding.
I cannot say enough about this company and Joanna Patane-Hopkins. I was a new mom with a 3 day old that was struggling to latch and absolutely worried to death because my milk hadn’t come in. We made an appt with Joanna and literally within minutes during the first session I felt more at ease and was able to have my baby latch for the first time since discharging from the hospital. We felt heard and supported with OUR goals and anytime we had questions or concerns (all the time) she was there to guide and reassure us. There is not a single second in my breastfeeding journey that would have been possible without her help. She’s the reason I’ve been able to breastfeed my son for over 7 months now (even as a working mom). If you’re debating on whether to get a lactation consultant, don’t think twice.
Went for my first appointment here as a prenatal to get prepared. I now know how to use all the devices I got for self care and breast feeding. I feel more confident I will be better prepared. They even show you how to hold your baby and to get then to latch! I wanted more then what the newborn class I had to take had and I got it. It's also in a brand new building!
I have had an excellent experience with Bayou City Breastfeeding!! I am a first time mom who was hesitant about breastfeeding. Ariel has helped me gain confidence and I now love breastfeeding my son! She also helped us identify a tongue and lip tie and recommended a plan of action that made our whole family comfortable and we are seeing major improvements. I cannot recommend Bayou City Breastfeeding enough!
Donique, the lactation consultant at Bayou City Breastfeeding, has been an absolute lifeline for me as a first-time mother navigating the complexities of breastfeeding. Her expertise and compassionate approach were instrumental in addressing multiple challenges my baby and I faced, including tongue tie, lip tie, reflux issues, milk supply concerns, and learning effective pumping techniques. Donique's deep understanding of lactation issues was evident from our very first session, where she patiently explained the impact of tongue and lip ties on breastfeeding and devised a comprehensive plan for treatment. What impressed me most about Donique was her personalized care and unwavering support throughout our sessions. She took the time to listen to my concerns, offering practical advice and reassurance tailored to my specific needs. Donique's encouragement and positivity boosted my confidence and made a significant difference in my breastfeeding journey. With her guidance, I witnessed substantial improvements in my baby's feeding habits and my ability to successfully nurse and pump. Donique's follow-up sessions were thorough and informative, demonstrating her commitment to her clients' well-being beyond the initial consultation. Her availability to address questions or concerns outside of appointments further highlighted her dedication to supporting new mothers like me. I highly recommend Donique to any mother seeking expert lactation support. Her professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care make her an invaluable resource for navigating the challenges of breastfeeding with confidence and success.
