Without the guidance of Suzanne and her expertise, I dont think breastfeeding would have lasted long for us at all. She always knows exactly what is needed to get us headed on the best track for success. All the other lactation consultants we have seen here have been pretty great also as well as the chiropractor Dr. Chelsea! I highly recommend taking advantage of their services if you are expecting or have a little one!

Wow! If you are trying to find a place that will take the time to talk to you and help you with your breastfeeding needs, this is it. My consult was 1 hour 20 min, and our lactation specialist was helpful and had such great information and tips. She helped me latch my baby and gave me great feedback on how to do it, which is what I’m struggling with. She evaluated my baby as well and gave us exercises to do at home to help with the lip and tongue ties. She scheduled a follow up visit to see our progress in the next week. All in all, so grateful to have this resource. Highly recommend it!And you can text them to communicate! Hello, this is so helpful for parents, instead of waiting on hold for 20 min to make an appointment.

I had such a great visit & experience with Mary, I am so glad I chose Bayou City! My experience was warm & not rushed, we spent the better of 2 hours together & she really got to know me & my baby. She checked things you’d expect your pedi to check but they don’t always. I’m having low supply issues & thought I had tried everything but Mary still gave me good information & things to try that I haven’t. If you’re considering visiting an LC, do it!!! 10/10 Id recommend Bayou City to anyone breastfeeding!

I found Bayou City Breastfeeding about three years ago. Suzanne helped me with my daughter to ensure my desires of breastfeeding my baby were met. She not only showed me techniques to help with her latch, she also recommended certain things I had no idea about that would help my BF journey. I’m so thankful for her help I was able to BF my daughter for 15 months before she (daughter) decided she was ready to be done. I am now back at BCBF with my new baby who has had latching issues and again Suzanne is there to help me with all her knowledge and amazingness! I definitely recommend Bayou City BF!

I can’t say enough good things about Tessa and how much she has helped this first time mom. She has calmed my anxieties and taught me SO MUCH about breastfeeding, positions, baby’s tongue movement, and body work. Her referral to our pediatric dentist and instructions after our tongue tie release has greatly healed my baby. Moreso, she’s so prompt with messages and will fit me in her schedule when I’m in a pinch. Our appointments are never rushed, and time just flies by in the most wonderful way. I truly never thought how much I’d need a lactation counselor as someone who’s been working with pregnant moms and moms with babies for years, but my baby isn’t even three months yet and we’ve visited her twice a month. She keeps the atmosphere super zen and uplifting. I’d go in ready to cry, end up laughing, and leave excited to implement the recommendations she’s made. Her depth of knowledge, expertise, and passion is evident. My infant always seems happier, physically relaxed, and her latch progresses so much after our visits with Tessa. I saw basically everyone in the magnolia office because of my scheduling and they’re all incredibly helpful.I’m a first time mom and my baby had to have a mouth procedure. These ladies. Helped me navigate how to best help her and heal her mouth!Additionally, I am an over supplier and get frequent clogged milk ducts, they were able to teach me how to work through this!

My breastfeeding journey would have been over a hundred times by now if it weren’t for Suzanne and Bayou city breastfeeding. The combination of science backed facts and emotional encouragement has given me the ability to make many educated decisions for me and my baby girl. I am so so so grateful this service exists and hope it’ll be more accessible in every branch of pre and post natal healthcare soon.
