HIGHLY RECOMMEND | CONVENIENT LOCATION | KIND | SPECIFIC 1:1 CARE - Fabulous experience with Tania at BCBLC. We’ve had two appointments and the first one alone was worth every minute. Our breastfeeding experience has greatly improved from just 90 minutes of her careful evaluation and corrective suggestions. I’m a first time mom and in hindsight I realized the lactation consultants in our delivering hospital were solely focused on providing their favorite tips and tricks for common issues and never took the time to evaluate how my son and I were breastfeeding in the first place to identify what our specific problems were. Tania took one look at us and immediately adjusted our position, my hold, and soon after identified my son needed help with his muscle strength. Truly a night and day experience between the hospital and this 1:1 lactation consultation. Weighted feeds have helped us confirm how effectively he’s drawing from the breast and soothed this mama’s heart that he’s not starving, the follow up appointment showed an improvement in his intake volume as well which confirms her suggestions are working. At our first appointment she evaluated his mouth and tongue strength and reviewed how his frenotomy was healing and prescribed an exercise to ensure it grows back well, something I didn’t necessarily expect in the context of a lactation consultation but was happy to receive. We also covered simple things like accessing my flange size and addressing a pumping schedule to up my supply. Through all of this Tania was incredibly kind and gentle in her delivery — nothing was ever presented as unfixable or a failure on our part, and for that some of my anxiety was eased. Not only has all of the information, suggestions, and prescribed exercises made a difference in just a week but the follow up appointment has been just as helpful. We’ll be back again for a third appointment to ensure his neck and mouth exercises are proving to be effective with more time but I can honestly say that in 2 appointments I feel SO MUCH BETTER about our breastfeeding journey. If insurance doesn’t cover your visits I’d say even one appointment (or two if you can swing it) would absolutely be worth the money.

WORTH IT. Time, money, everything. Book the appointment.
Being in the newborn trenches for a third time and two successful prior breastfeeding experiences, I debated on scheduling an appointment. My primary concern was over-active letdown and pump fitting. Wasn’t sure I’d learn much more than I already knew or could google. Incorrect. I saw Kathy Lenert, an absolute wealth of information. I was impressed at her ability to teach, be hands on, and remember all of my needs. Was given extensive after-visit summary, which I appreciated. Truly wish I had seen her with all my kids.
Practical tips: Bring a helper and TAKE NOTES. I learned so so much. Parking is easy. Elevator is a bit small if you have a monster (large) stroller - but should fit. Will not fit more than two people and a stroller though.

Response from the owner:Thank you so much, Patricia, for this glowing review! We’re delighted to hear that Kathy was able to provide you with such an incredible experience. Her hands-on approach and knack for addressing individual needs are exactly what make her such a treasure to us and the families we serve.
We love your practical tips, too—bring a helper and take notes are spot-on advice. And thanks for pointing out the parking ease and elevator quirkiness—monster stroller owners, you’ve been warned (but reassured!).
Your kind words mean the world to us, especially coming from a seasoned mom like yourself. If only we’d had the pleasure of seeing you with all your kiddos! But we’re so glad you chose to visit us this time around. Here's to smoother pump fittings and calmer letdowns! Wishing you all the best on this journey and beyond. 💕
Where do I even begin. As a second time mom to a baby with oral ties, I thought I knew what to expect. Before coming to BCB, my son had a severe anterior tongue tie that was revised at 10 days old; at 8 weeks old he was gaining weight very well but I just knew something wasn’t quite right; I was having intense nipple pain from vasospasms that was only tolerable with prescription medication. I saw Suzanne for a second opinion and she instantly identified either an incomplete release or poor healing from the prior revision. I worked with Suzanne and Dr. Chelsea to prepare my son for a second tongue tie and lip tie revision at 3 months old. Although very anxious, Suzanne instilled complete confidence. Two days after his release I could already see drastic improvement in his nursing and my pain; I was able to nurse complete pain free for the first time in 14 weeks. At 1 week post procedure I was able to take my son on a family trip to Italy for a wedding. We’re now 2 weeks post procedure and my son is nursing efficiently and pain free! I am so incredibly thankful for Suzanne and the team of providers she recruited to support me and my son and rescue our breastfeeding journey (including a chiropractor reference in Rome!). I would not have been able to continue breastfeeding without her. We still have work ahead but I have complete confidence we can manage anything.
Response from the owner:Thank you for sharing your incredible breastfeeding journey with us! Your determination and trust through every step—from seeking a second opinion to preparing for a second procedure—are truly inspiring. It’s wonderful to hear how the expert care and personalized support you received made such a transformative difference, allowing you to nurse pain-free and continue breastfeeding with confidence. Your ability to take your son to Italy just one-week post-frenectomy speaks volumes about the progress you've made! We are so honored to have been part of your journey and look forward to supporting you as you continue. Thank you for your heartfelt review—it means so much to us!
We had a wonderful experience with all the ladies! Ms. Suzanne helped tremendously with all the questions and concerns I had once my baby had his tongue/cheek/lip ties released
Response from the owner:Hi Edith!
Thank you so much for your wonderful 5-star review! We're thrilled to hear that you had such a positive experience at our Kingwood location. I cannot speak enough praise for Bayou City, specifically Claire J and Brandy (who we met a few times!). Claire is my go to gal for all things breastfeeding for mom and baby. I’m a nicu nurse and have completed coursework myself to become a CLC, and I know MANY LCs, but none compare to Claire. She is so dedicated and is a vast wealth of knowledge. We live in Dallas and were connected to Claire through a mutual friend after a complicated tie release when my daughter was almost completely aversive to the breast and would not take a bottle. I was very close to requesting a feeding tube from my pediatrician. Claire met with me virtually multiple times, even on the day after Christmas, and she was able to help my daughter be receptive to feeding consistently in a matter of 48 hours. In the months to come, we visited Claire at bayou city for week long intensives, where she worked us in to her schedule around our other appointments in Katy and even brought in other LCs like Brandy to consult on post release healing. She is skilled at navigating ties (pre and post release) and breastfeeding, supply issues, maternal health complications, and the emotional dynamics of everything. She has a wealth of resources at her fingertips and knows how to use them. Kind and gentle, realistic, and affirming of maternal dyad goals, Claire is the person y’all need for success in your breastfeeding journey.
Response from the owner:Thank you so much for your incredible review and kind words about Claire and Brandy! We are truly honored to have been part of your family's breastfeeding journey, and your story is a testament to the power of perseverance and compassionate care.
Claire’s dedication and expertise shine brightly, and it’s wonderful to hear how her guidance—whether virtually or in person—made such a meaningful difference for you and your daughter. She embodies the very heart of what we strive for at Bayou City Breastfeeding: personalized support that not only addresses the physical aspects of feeding but also considers the emotional and practical needs of each family.
We’re equally thrilled to know that Brandy's consultations added to the positive experience. It’s our mission to provide collaborative, comprehensive care to help families overcome challenges and achieve their unique goals.
Your words reaffirm why we do what we do—helping mothers and babies thrive together. Thank you again for taking the time to share your journey, and for trusting us during such an important time. Wishing you and your family continued success and joy on this beautiful journey of parenthood! 🌸
Suzanne is truly amazing!!!! She is honest and Knowledgeable. My baby suffered from tongue tie and cheek ties. She helped my baby and I through the breastfeeding process. I learned so much from her. She’s a blessing to mothers, parents and babies!

We took the childbirth prep class last week and were so glad we did! As first time parents, we have definitely been overwhelmed with all the information floating around out there. This class gave us a good high level overview of what to expect leading up to labor, during labor and those first few weeks after birth. Jen was so great at breaking things down for us and answering any specific questions we had! Would highly recommend!
Response from the owner:Hi Kayla,

Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we're so glad we could be a part of your journey into parenthood. Wishing you all the best in the exciting weeks ahead! 🌟👶💖

We’ve been working with Suzanne since our baby was a week old. We were struggling with weight gain, and breastfeeding was so incredibly challenging as a first time mom. Suzanne was amazing at determining what issues we were having AND helping us get to the root causes of our issues. I appreciate that she always explains things simply when doing an exam on our baby. Dr. Chelsea is also incredible! Our baby loves getting adjusted and is always so happy after. We’ve learned a lot from Dr. Chelsea and now our baby loves to do his stretches throughout the day.
Response from the owner:Hi Meena,
Thank you for your incredible review! We are delighted to hear about your positive experience with Suzanne and Dr. Chelsea. Suzanne is passionate about helping mothers and their babies thrive, and it’s wonderful to know that her guidance and expertise have made such a difference for your family.
Dr. Chelsea is equally thrilled to hear that your baby enjoys his adjustments and stretches. We are committed to creating a nurturing and supportive environment for both moms and their little ones. Your kind words motivate us to continue providing the best care possible.

I’m so grateful for Bayou City Breastfeeding and the many options they allow for visits! This was our first child, and I wanted to feel best positioned to support a breastfeeding journey. I had a prenatal appointment, which helped me feel more calm for the first days postpartum. My IBCLC followed up in the weeks before my due date to make sure any lingering questions or concerns were addressed, and they were readily available for a home visit a few days after we were discharged home. They’ve always been good about making sure they stay within what’s covered by my insurance, which is always greatly appreciated. So grateful to have this group as a resource, and would highly recommend!
Response from the owner:Thank you, Danni, for your heartfelt review. We’re thrilled to have been a part of your breastfeeding journey with your first child. It’s wonderful to hear that our prenatal appointment and follow-up care provided the support and reassurance you needed. We’re committed to being available and working within insurance coverage to help as many families as possible. Your recommendation means the world to us, and we’re so grateful to be your trusted resource. Warmest wishes to you and your family! 🌟
