They are very experience with a lot of knowledge. Glad I had the visits with them.
Response from the owner:Thank you so much, Marija, for your kind words and wonderful review! We're so glad you found your visits helpful and that our experience and knowledge made a difference for you and your little one. Supporting families like yours is truly at the heart of what we do at Bayou City Breastfeeding. Wishing you continued success on your breastfeeding journey!
Melissa Gonzalez / Bayou City and Alamo City changed my entire breastfeeding experience. I left the hospital mixing formula and my milk because I didn't have enough, but after a month it got worse since I was bleeding and my nipple was blocked. Melissa consulted me and discovered that my son had a tight tongue. She also gave me techniques to increase my production. I arrived with little hope and discouraged. And in less than a month She managed to go to exclusive breast milk in addition to have a saving bank. It's not just the position; there are many things around it that I didn't imagine would help or affect it. I really recommend going for counseling, it's worth it. With my first child I didn't make it more than 2 and a half months, now I've been at 4 and a half months, I continue breastfeeding and have saved up for another month and a half. I wouldn't be more happy with her help.
Muchas gracias por apoyarme en tecnica y emocionalmente.
Muchas gracias por apoyarme en tecnica y emocionalmente.
Response from the owner:Thank you so much, Marlen, for sharing your incredible journey and kind words about Melissa at Alamo City Breastfeeding. Your story is a powerful reminder of how the right support can completely transform a breastfeeding experience.
Melissa’s expertise in identifying your baby’s tongue tie and helping you work through a blocked milk ducts and bleeding shows just how important it is to have knowledgeable, compassionate guidance. Tongue ties can often go undiagnosed and lead to painful latching and low milk transfer, so it’s amazing that Melissa was able to catch that and help you address it early on.
We’re also thrilled to hear that her techniques helped you not only increase your milk production but also build a breastmilk saving bank—what a huge accomplishment! And tackling clogged ducts along the way is no small feat either. Your progress from supplementing with formula to exclusively breastfeeding and even storing extra milk is truly inspiring.
Thank you again for trusting Melissa and for encouraging others to seek support. Your story will give hope to so many parents who may be struggling.
¡Gracias por compartir tu experiencia y por tus palabras tan sinceras!

I am beyond grateful to have found this place. To have found Priscilla Jackson was a huge blessing in my nursing journey. If it were not for everything I learned from her, I honestly might have not been able to continue to breastfeed my baby. She taught me so much on how to breastfeed, how to help my baby with her latch, and even how to make sure that I did not run out of milk. When I came to her, I am pretty certain I was about to dry out, but because of everything she taught us she saved both my baby and I from losing such a wonderful connection. Today I can proudly say my baby is exclusively breastfed, after a lot of hard work, and all the tools that were provided to us as parents through Bayou City. I already recommended the place to all pregnant women I know. 🤭 A HUGE THANK YOU TO PRISCILLA. 🥹🫶🏼
Response from the owner:Hi Carol!

We are beyond honored that Priscilla could be the guiding light you needed during such a vulnerable and transformative time. Kyna is amazing and such a great support person to add to your team in your postpartum season when trying to ensure a strong nursing experience with your new little one. She's a great listener, very well educated, and so supportive to any new or even experienced mom. I wish I had her support for my first two children but so grateful to have her with our recent little one. She's helped me nurse longer than I did with my other two. Highly recommend.
Response from the owner:Hi Ramos Family,
Thank you so much for your kind words and glowing recommendation. We’re thrilled to hear that Kyna was the perfect IBCLC for your family. It means the world to us that she was able to provide both the evidence-based expertise and the compassionate support you needed during your breastfeeding journey with your newest little one.
We’re truly honored that you chose Bayou City Breastfeeding to be part of this special season in your life. Supporting families like yours is why we do what we do.

I am so grateful for Priscilla, from the very beginning she wanted to make sure how I was doing and always there for any support I needed. I worked with her for my sons tongue tie release and BF/feeding support. I am thankful I had her help and also got to work with Mandy and Karen (at the pediatric dentist) for the release. I would also see them in the office and they truly care about all of their patients. Thank you ladies for all of your help!
Response from the owner:Thank you so much, Brooke! Your kind words truly warmed our hearts. It was an absolute honor for Priscilla to walk alongside you during your feeding journey—and we’re so glad she could offer the support and care you needed, every step of the way. We'll be sure to share your appreciation with Mandy and Karen, too—they’ll be thrilled to know they made a difference.
Nothing makes us happier than knowing you felt seen, supported, and empowered. Thank you for letting us be a part of such a special chapter in your family's story!
If you're even thinking about booking with Ariel Brewer at Bayou City Breastfeeding, do it. Immediately.
I say this with absolute certainty: our breastfeeding journey would not have been successful without Ariel. The cards were stacked against us from day one — latching issues, lip tie, tongue tie, inverted nipples, and an extremely low milk supply. Honestly, it felt like everything that could go wrong did. There was no logical reason we should’ve made it to where we are today… but we did. And it’s entirely because Ariel guided us through each challenge — one at a time, with so much knowledge, compassion, and the kind of calm confidence that made me believe we could do this.
First, we tackled milk supply while navigating some tricky anatomy issues between me and my baby. Ariel gave me clear, step-by-step guidance that helped me build supply and get my baby back to birthweight. And wow — we crushed it. I went from being a significant under-supplier to a slight over-supplier. And seemingly overnight, my baby caught up and began thriving.
Then came the tongue and lip ties. Right after getting them revised, my baby latched without a shield, without leaking, and — miracle of miracles — without pain. Thriving didn’t even begin to describe it.
And just when I thought we were out of the woods, my supply suddenly dropped out of nowhere. But again, Ariel had my back. With her concise instructions (plus a few optional hacks), I was able to regain every ounce of lost supply within a couple of weeks.
Today, we’re nearly 8 months into our journey. My baby is happy, deeply connected to me, and rocking the 98th percentile. Big. Beautiful. Thriving.
Saying Ariel gave us a priceless gift feels like an understatement. Her support didn’t just help me breastfeed — it gave me confidence, reassurance, and resilience I didn’t know I had. Her belief in me, her encouraging nudges, and even her occasional bits of mom-wisdom were exactly what I needed, exactly when I needed them.
Ariel is an exceptional lactation consultant — and an even more extraordinary human. She goes far above and beyond the job description, and I’ll be forever grateful for her.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND | CONVENIENT LOCATION | KIND | SPECIFIC 1:1 CARE - Fabulous experience with Tania at BCBLC. We’ve had two appointments and the first one alone was worth every minute. Our breastfeeding experience has greatly improved from just 90 minutes of her careful evaluation and corrective suggestions. I’m a first time mom and in hindsight I realized the lactation consultants in our delivering hospital were solely focused on providing their favorite tips and tricks for common issues and never took the time to evaluate how my son and I were breastfeeding in the first place to identify what our specific problems were. Tania took one look at us and immediately adjusted our position, my hold, and soon after identified my son needed help with his muscle strength. Truly a night and day experience between the hospital and this 1:1 lactation consultation. Weighted feeds have helped us confirm how effectively he’s drawing from the breast and soothed this mama’s heart that he’s not starving, the follow up appointment showed an improvement in his intake volume as well which confirms her suggestions are working. At our first appointment she evaluated his mouth and tongue strength and reviewed how his frenotomy was healing and prescribed an exercise to ensure it grows back well, something I didn’t necessarily expect in the context of a lactation consultation but was happy to receive. We also covered simple things like accessing my flange size and addressing a pumping schedule to up my supply. Through all of this Tania was incredibly kind and gentle in her delivery — nothing was ever presented as unfixable or a failure on our part, and for that some of my anxiety was eased. Not only has all of the information, suggestions, and prescribed exercises made a difference in just a week but the follow up appointment has been just as helpful. We’ll be back again for a third appointment to ensure his neck and mouth exercises are proving to be effective with more time but I can honestly say that in 2 appointments I feel SO MUCH BETTER about our breastfeeding journey. If insurance doesn’t cover your visits I’d say even one appointment (or two if you can swing it) would absolutely be worth the money.
Response from the owner:Hi Sarah,

That’s exactly what we hope for every parent we work with.
