COVID-19 (Coronavirus)
We understand that our clients are concerned about the current outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19). As a practice, we are actively monitoring the situation, and wanted to let you know what we are doing to ensure the safety of our clients, their families and our staff.

We are also offering clients the option to book a Virtual Consultation.

We are following the recent CDC coronavirus guidelines regarding the COVID-19 virus.

Pre-Appointment Screening

If you have an upcoming in-person appointment, we are implementing a screening process and you will be contacted prior to your appointment to screen for those factors that increase the risk of being a COVID-19 carrier.  Based on the result of the screening, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment or to have a virtual consultation.

What are we screening for?

You will be asked if you, a member of your immediate family, or someone who resides in your home has been traveling during the last two weeks.

You will be asked if you, a member of your immediate family, or someone who resides in your home has had a cough, fever or has been ill within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment.

You will be asked if you, a member of your immediate family or someone who resides in your home has had close contact with a person who is under investigation for 2019- COVID-19 infection (Coronavirus) in the past 14 days.

If any of these conditions apply, we cannot do an in-person visit, but will offer to do a virtual consultation or to reschedule your visit for a later date. No cancellation fees will be charged if the appointment is rescheduled due to the screening.

What if my IBCLC is sick?

If your IBCLCs develops a cough, fever or becomes ill within 48 hours of your appointment,  you will be contacted to reschedule your appointment.  It has always been our guideline to reschedule appointments in the case of illness.
